This weeks Thursday Throwback is a look back at the beautiful day of Denise and Matt, the perfect mix of class and sophistication in a stunning Kent Countryside setting. I absolutely loved creating this wedding day hair and make up look, inspired by hollywood glamour and vintage style.
Denise and Matt married on October 1st 2018 at The Old Kent Barn. Luckily for me, this is a venue I am quite familiar with! It’s a popular choice for brides and it doesn’t take much to see why. I’m fortunate enough to be recognised as one of their hand picked, selected recommended suppliers and every time and bride books me for their big day here, I know it’s going to be a good one!
The venue itself is beautiful both inside and out. They go above and beyond to cater to everyones needs, even providing make up chairs in the upstairs bridal prep room. They really have thought of everything and their attention to detail is second to none. If you’re looking for a venue in Kent then I strongly suggest you put this place on your list and make a visit ( You can thank me later! ) .
Denise and Matt were a classy, cool couple. I mean – he brought her a vintage car for her wedding present! You can read more details about their day on the Love my dress blog where their wedding has been featured. Every little detail was perfection – from her 20’s style gown to the colours and palette chosen , which were a nod to Denise’s Italian heritage.
To complement the vintage style for Denise’s make up we went for a glamorous and timeless red lip look. Her eyes were brought to life using neutral and earthy tones with long black lashes. The statement red lip was bold and striking and the perfect compliment to her dark hair. Her hair was swept into a 20’s inspired undo, piled curls, which waved their way seamlessly around her head. We balanced this with an ornate clip to one side. The final addition of a cathedral length veil was the perfect way to finish off the look.
Their photos taken by Olegs Samsonovs are simply stunning. They really reflect the class and tone of the couple and the elegance of their day.
